Baseball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Olympus Titans

The Alta Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Olympus Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Alta faced off against Skyline on Friday. The Hawks came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-4. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Kaden Goodsell and Abel Velador did most of the damage at the plate: Goodsell went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Velador went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Goodsell is becoming a predictor of Alta's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 3-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

Olympus couldn't beat Viewmont on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Titans fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-7. It was the first time this season that the Titans let down their fans at home.

The win got Alta back to even at 8-8. As for Olympus, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
