Softball Preview: Winn Mavericks vs. Medina Valley Panthers
Winn is 1-9 against Medina Valley since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Winn Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Medina Valley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Winn scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over Southwest Legacy. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Medina Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Southside 13-12.
Lyssy Salazar looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (she also didn't allow any walks).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Arielle Chichester, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Amethyst Valenzuela, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
