Volleyball Recap: Jovie Meeker and Ayla Raynor Secure Win for Dover

With a playoff win on the line, Dover rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bishop Guertin Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Monday.

Dover was led to victory by Ayla Raynor and Jovie Meeker. Raynor had ten digs and five aces, while Meeker had 14 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Raynor has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Dover has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Bishop Guertin, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.

As of now, neither Dover nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
