Softball Game Preview: Three Rivers Wildcats vs. Plainwell Trojans

Three Rivers is a perfect 3-0 against Plainwell since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will face off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Three Rivers came up short against Dowagiac and fell 10-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Plainwell was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 13-1 to Kalamazoo Central.

Plainwell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Seibert, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Seibert's first of the season.

Plainwell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Three Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Three Rivers' way against Plainwell in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Three Rivers made off with a 21-0 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
