Softball Recap: Hiland Hawks vs. Waynedale Golden Bears

Hiland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Waynedale Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 on Saturday.

Hiland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalyn Immel, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Hiland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Waynedale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Hiland will venture away from home to take on Indian Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Waynedale, they will be playing at home against Dalton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
