League recap: Alemany tops St. Bonaventure to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in Serra this week, Alemany beat St. Bonaventure 38-24. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Warriors.

Bishop Amat took down St. Paul 49-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Koa Haynes threw for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 74 yards during the win.

The Lancers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Haynes chipped in 74 yards. Trevon Sidney helped Bishop Amat's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 58 yards.

He was 17-22 with 0 interception.

Haynes was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Adrian Ortega added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.

Bishop Amat's Haynes and Brandon Arconado led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Haynes has thrown for 1,396 yards this season, while Arconado, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 25 catches for 390 yards. Chris Colarossi from Notre Dame leads the league in rushing with 514 yards.

Loyola made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 542 from 639. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 49-29 victory over Mira Costa last week.
