Baseball Recap: Seguin Comes Up Short

Seguin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Centennial Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 last Wednesday.

Seguin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianlucas Handley, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Seguin's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Centennial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seguin is set to square off against their familiar foe Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centennial will take on rival Everman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
