Volleyball Recap: Georgetown G-Men vs. Williamsburg Wildcats
Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Williamsburg Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
Georgetown took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.
Taylor Battista was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.
Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Williamsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Georgetown will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel-Tate at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Williamsburg, they will host Western Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
