Softball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

Eastlake had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 8-8 to make it five. They lost 11-1 to the Issaquah Eagles. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Eastlake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Parthemer, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

As for Issaquah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.

On Issaquah's side, Shae Erickson (2027) made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Erickson (2027) was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Issaquah got a massive performance out of Abby Cleveland (2026), who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Taylor Chan (2027) was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coming up, Eastlake is taking a road trip to square off against Mount Si at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Issaquah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
