Baseball Game Preview: Big Foot Chiefs vs. Evansville Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Big Foot will face off against Evansville. The Chiefs will take on the Blue Devils at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.

Big Foot is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since April 24th on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Evansville 2-1.

Connor Weeks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on nine hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Big Foot is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Big Foot saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Henningfeld, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Big Foot's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Evansville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
