Baseball Recap: Pleasant Valley Takes a Loss

Pleasant Valley suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Red Bluff Spartans by a score of 7-5. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Scotty McKeown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Pleasant Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Red Bluff moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Pleasant Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
