Football Game Preview: Harrison Raiders vs. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans

The Harrison Raiders will take on the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harrison is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against McCutcheon on Friday. The Raiders enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Mavericks. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won nine in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harrison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Clopton, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Another passer making a difference was Lannon Nicoloff, who threw for 82 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Harrison was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indianapolis Bishop Chatard). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-14 win over Guerin Catholic. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 64th).

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Harrison, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
