Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Man Hillbillies

The Sherman Tide will square off against the Man Hillbillies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Sherman took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Hannan. The victory continues a trend for the Tide in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Chase Southern was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Oliver Harless was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Man got the win against Wayne on Friday by a conclusive 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hillbillies.

Sherman's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Man, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
