League recap: Richmond tops Yale to extend winning streak

Blue Water Area recap October 22, 2013

Richmond added to the longest winning streak in Blue Water Area this week by beating Yale, 42-28. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Armada's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trevor Holston threw for 48 yards and Sammy Matthews had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Matthews chipped in 67 yards. Keith Sheridan helped Armada's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 15 yards.

Matthews provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers lost to Croswell-Lexington.

Holston put up the best numbers in passing as Armada fell to the Pioneers.

Armada's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Holston has thrown for 466 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Matthews has 12 catches for 216 yards.

Almont led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on Imlay City.
