Basketball Recap: Liberty Center Takes a Loss

Liberty Center fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Wauseon on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wauseon Indians by a score of 58-55. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Liberty Center's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Wauseon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Delta likes a good challenge. As for Wauseon, they will welcome Bryan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wauseon is facing Bryan at the right time seeing as Bryan is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
