Basketball Game Preview: Mesa Verde Mavericks vs. Lindhurst Blazers

The Mesa Verde Mavericks will head out on the road to square off against the Lindhurst Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Mesa Verde took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 win over Golden Sierra.

Meanwhile, Lindhurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 81-57 to Vacaville Christian.

Lindhurst's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Mesa Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 7-18.

Everything came up roses for Mesa Verde against Lindhurst in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 63-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mesa Verde since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
