Newton Local dropped their record down to 9-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 6-2 to the Milton-Union Bulldogs. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Milton-Union, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
