Football Recap: Paramus Takes a Loss

Paramus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Dumont Huskies. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Paramus lost, don't look at Jakob Hosie. Despite the final result, he threw for 248 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards. A healthy portion of Hosie's aerial production (102 yards to be exact) went to Theo Perides.

Paramus' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Dumont, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Paramus will welcome Teaneck at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Highwaymen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dumont, they will venture away from home to square off against Pascack Hills on Friday.
