Softball Game Preview: Lamar Vikings vs. Hillcrest Panthers

The Lamar Vikings will face off against the Hillcrest Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Lamar will be strutting in after a win while Hillcrest will be coming in after a defeat.

Lamar is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sunset 15-3 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came up short against Grand Prairie on Monday, falling 17-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got Lamar back to even at 2-2. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lamar took their win against Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 12-4. Will Lamar repeat their success, or does Hillcrest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
