Recap: Warsaw Wildcats vs. Lincoln Cardinals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weaubleau, the Warsaw Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They slipped by Lincoln 60-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warsaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Gemes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gemes has scored at least 25% of Warsaw's points. Noah Siebert was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
The victory got Warsaw back to even at 2-2. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warsaw will take on Skyline at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
