Volleyball Game Preview: Loretto Angels vs. Da Vinci Dragons

The Loretto Angels will square off against the Da Vinci Dragons at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Two weeks ago, Loretto came up short against Immanuel Christian and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Angels in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Immanuel Christian scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Da Vinci also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to El Paso HomeSchool by a score of 3-1.

Da Vinci was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made El Paso HomeSchool work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Da Vinci, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-3-1.

Loretto might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Da Vinci in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Angels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
