Football Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 40-19 to the Barbe Buccaneers. The Raiders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Jelandon Gray was a one-man wrecking crew For Barbe. as he threw for 262 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 75 yards on only ten carries.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Barbe, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Northwest will be playing in front of their home fans against Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Barbe, they will head out on the road to take on Carencro at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Buccaneers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
