Northgate entered their tilt with Langston Hughes on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

Northgate easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-5.

Hannah Genet paced Northgate's offense, picking up seven kills. Genet got some help from Maddy Schmidt and her 14 assists.

Northgate's win bumped their record up to 19-21. As for Langston Hughes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-23 record this season.

Northgate has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Newnan on the 9th. As for Langston Hughes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Banneker on the 9th.
