Soccer Game Preview: Steele vs. Del Valle

The Steele Knights will take on the Del Valle Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Steele is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Bowie on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Steele couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Del Valle's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Neither they nor Pflugerville Connally could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Del Valle's first draw of the season.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. With that draw, Del Valle's record moves to 6-4-1.

Steele suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Del Valle when the teams last played on Saturday. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
