Soccer Recap: St. Martinville Comes Up Short

St. Martinville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kaplan Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

St. Martinville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-2. As for Kaplan, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.

St. Martinville will venture away from home to square off against Cecilia at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Kaplan, they will take on Opelousas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
