Soccer Recap: Columbia City Comes Up Short

Columbia City came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-2 to the Marion Giants. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Columbia City were already down 5-1.

Jonah Shipman and Jaxson Johnson scored both of Columbia City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Columbia City's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marion, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Columbia City will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Bellmont at 6:30 p.m. As for Marion, they are taking a road trip to take on Mississinewa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
