Football Recap: Albertville Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

The Albertville Aggies got the win against the Anniston Bulldogs on Monday by a conclusive 28-7. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Albertville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henley Kilpatrick, who threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Kilpatrick has posted since back in October of 2024. Ella Brown was Kilpatrick's top target, picking up 34 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Albertville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aven Danne and Brown. Albertville got some further help from Journey Williams: she picked up a sack and made four total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Albertville pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Albertville will square off against Gadsden City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Anniston will be paying especially close attention to the Aggies' contest: after the Aggies face off against Oxford, they'll take on Anniston again at 6:00 p.m. on October 16.
