Recap: St. John's Islanders vs. Military Magnet Academy Eagles
The St. John's Islanders were the 19-6 winner over the Military Magnet Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. St. John's and Military Magnet Academy were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but St. John's suffered an agonizing 19-18 defeat.
St. John's' loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.3 points per game. As for Military Magnet Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
St. John's will take on Baptist Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Baptist Hill is ranked 208th, while St. John's is ranked 225th). Military Magnet Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
