Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Wilcox County Patriots
The Macon County Bulldogs had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilcox County. Macon County lost against Wilcox County in their previous head to head back in February of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-45 score last time.
Macon County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Destiny Smith who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Macon County's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wilcox County, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Macon County will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilcox County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilkinson County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
