Soccer Game Preview: Ripley vs. Dyer County

The Ripley Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Dyer County Choctaws at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ripley has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ripley lost 6-2 to Millington Central on Monday. Ripley haven't had much luck with Millington Central recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ty Crawford wasn't going to let Millington Central walk away unscathed as he scored both of Ripley's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Dyer County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gibson County.

Dyer County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-3. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-2.

Ripley suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Dyer County in their previous matchup on April 11th. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
