Softball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Fortuna Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 last Tuesday.

Eureka saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Fortuna, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Eureka by a score of 15-7 later that day.
