Basketball Recap: Adairsville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Adairsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Heritage Generals, falling 84-44. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Generals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Adairsville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chris Moore, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 17 points, and Brooks Rutledge, who posted ten points. Thanks to that strong game, Moore now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. Hank Barfield also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Adairsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Heritage, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Adairsville will welcome Northwest Whitfield at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage, they will challenge Ridgeland at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The Generals will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
