Baseball Recap: St. Andrew's Takes a Loss

St. Andrew suffered their closest defeat since March 28th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tatnall Hornets by a score of 6-4. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

St. Andrew's dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tatnall, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Andrew's will venture away from home to take on Polytech at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tatnall, they will head out to square off against Mount Pleasant at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Knights have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
