Softball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Thatcher's Winning Streak

After flying high against Ray on Thursday, Thatcher came back down to earth. Thatcher took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willcox Cowboys on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-13 back in February.

Thatcher moved to 7-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Willcox, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Thatcher didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 loss against Poston Butte on the 21st. As for Willcox, they have also already played their next match, a 17-0 defeat against Heritage Academy on the 21st.
