Football Game Preview: Jefferson Cougars vs. Morgantown Mohigans + How To Watch

The Jefferson Cougars will take on the Morgantown Mohigans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Jefferson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over George Washington.

Jefferson found their leader in freshman Logan Meredith, who picked up 76 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Morgantown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 34-33 photo finish over Spring Mills.

Morgantown found their leader in sophomore Maddox Twigg, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 152 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes.

Morgantown's run defense was locked in: Spring Mills could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The Mohigans hasn't allowed more than 3.1 yards per carry in five consecutive matchups.

Jefferson's record is now 8-4. As for Morgantown, their record now sits at 11-1.

Jefferson took a serious blow against Morgantown in their previous matchup back in September, falling 38-7. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
