Baseball Recap: Wapato Comes Up Short

Wapato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Goldendale Timberwolves, falling 10-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2015.

Wapato's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Goldendale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wapato will face off against Royal at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Royal's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Wapato's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Goldendale, they will challenge Highland at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Goldendale is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
