Volleyball Recap: Lowell Takes a Loss

Lowell entered their game against Illiana Christian on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Lowell was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Illiana Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowell will venture away from home to take on Munster at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Illiana Christian, they will head out to square off against Gary West Side at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
