Basketball Recap: Stevenson Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Stevenson can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over the Bronx High School of Science Wolverines. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Ambassadors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Wolverines are ranked 108th).

Stevenson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Bronx High School of Science, they moved to 15-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson has already played their next contest (against Fordham Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bronx High School of Science will head out on the road to face off against Hunter College at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
