Football Recap: Cole Starts Season with Win on the Road

Cole had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-6 win over the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Karson Scroggins threw for 292 yards and three TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes. Noah Chambers was his top target, picking up 136 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Gage Saucedo rushed for 36 yards.

Cole will challenge Stockdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Antonio Memorial, they will take on Lanier at 7:00 p.m. on September 6.
