Basketball Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County lost against Daniel Boone back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jefferson County Patriots were beaten by the Daniel Boone Trailblazers 64-28. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 85th).

Jefferson County dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Daniel Boone, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

Jefferson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Daniel Boone, they will challenge Sevier County on Monday. Daniel Boone knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Sevier County likes a good challenge.
