Softball Recap: Lake Washington Takes a Loss

The Lake Washington Kangaroos didn't have quite enough to beat the Shorewood Stormrays on Friday and fell 8-7.

Malia Donohue and Elise Roe stepped up to the plate in a big way. Donohue scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Roe went 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobbie Hagerman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Lake Washington's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Shorewood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Lake Washington has already played their next matchup, a 9-7 loss against Bothell on the 19th. As for Shorewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-7 victory against Nathan Hale on the 17th.
