Walker Valley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Chattanooga Christian Chargers 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in March.

The result came thanks to Olivia Presswood's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Walker Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Walker Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chattanooga Christian struck out 12 times.

Walker Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Chattanooga Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.

Walker Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chattanooga Christian, they will take on Silverdale Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
