Soccer Game Preview: Trinity vs. Westwood

Trinity is 1-6 against Westwood since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Trinity duke it out with the Westwood at 6:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Trinity is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to Hudson.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Westwood was not quite Madisonville's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 571st, while the Mustangs are ranked 281st).

Westwood has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Trinity, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
