Game recap: Walker High School Football Team wins against Athens Christian

MARIETTA, Ga. - Walker (Marietta, Ga.) extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 28-7 victory over Athens Christian (Athens, Ga.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Brett Branton, the Eagles went into halftime with a 7-6 lead. The Wolverines scored the winning points with a Evan Kasian touchdown run that came in the third quarter.

Walker's most effective player was Kasian. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 27 touchdowns on the season.

Athens Christian's Branton played well. The junior quarterback ran for one touchdown.



AC's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Branton in the second quarter.

WHS came into the game allowing 8.4 points per game.
