Softball Recap: Bishop McCort Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bishop McCort was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Central Cambria Red Devils by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Crushers were not able to get on the board.

Lariah Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

Bishop McCort's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Central Cambria, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Bishop McCort will challenge Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crushers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Central Cambria, they have already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Greater Johnstown on the 16th.
