Softball Recap: Academy of Holy Angels Takes a Loss

Academy of Holy Angels fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Hill-Murray on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 6-5. The Stars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

With the defeat, Academy of Holy Angels broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for Hill-Murray, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Holy Angels will welcome Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Stars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hill-Murray, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against North at 4:30 p.m.
