Basketball Recap: Vestaburg Skates Past Beecher with Ease

On Wednesday, the Vestaburg Wolverines humbled the Beecher Buccaneers with a 54-22 victory.

Vestaburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Johnston out in front who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Johnston has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Jaiden Anderson was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Vestaburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Vestaburg's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Beecher, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Vestaburg has already played their next contest, a 42-23 victory against Webberville on the 30th. Beecher has also already played their next match (against Bridgeport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
