Basketball Recap: Noah Durham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hickory Christian Academy over Foard

The Hickory Christian Academy Knights ended up a good deal behind the Foard Tigers on Friday and lost 81-66. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hickory Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Noah Durham, who posted 24 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Carter Moore was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Carver, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Holden Caldwell, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 14 points along with eight assists and three steals.

Hickory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Foard, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Hickory Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Tabernacle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Foard, they will venture away from home to face off against Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
