South San Francisco came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Summit Shasta Black Bears by a score of 71-62. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Black Bears are ranked 229th).

South San Francisco pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Summit Shasta, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South San Francisco and James Lick will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Shasta, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South San Francisco at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
