Volleyball Recap: Greeley Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Greeley Central came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Berthoud Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.

Jovida Gonzales paced Greeley Central's offense, picking up three kills. Gonzales got some help from Aubree Cruz and her four assists. Mayra Flores controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Greeley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Berthoud, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Greeley Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Weld Central on the 27th. As for Berthoud, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Severance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
